Regular events

Here at the Lass, we like to think we keep you thoroughly entertained as well as fed and watered. Regular events staged at the Lass include:

• All major sporting events shown live - We pride ourselves on the warmth and friendliness of the atmosphere generated within the pub for major sporting events. Take advantage of our big screen and various LCD and plasmas, wallow in our sound system specially tuned by sound engineers for live sports and enjoy the ride - be it Premiership and league footbal, La Liga, rugby league, international rugby, boxing, test cricket, golf, racing. The list is endless. It's down to you, the rule being simply; if it's on, and we can accommodate it on our screen then we will always do our best to comply with any request.
• Live music - every friday night at the lass - We are always looking for new original and cover artists. Music normally takes the form of a soloist, duos or small groups of semi acoustic musicians. At the Lass, we fervently believe in keeping music live and offering real entertainment, all completely free of charge!
• Comedy Night - Staged on the first saturday of every month, Jokein is our free comedy showcase, allowing you to enjoy local standup in one of the city's most intimate venues.
• The Quiz - Played for a gallon of ale or one of our fine house wines, our quiz is a great opportunity to test your wits against your friends and neighbours. We also offer a fabulous rolling cash accumulator offering you the possibility of winning hundreds on a single question alone! Thursdays from 8:30pm.
• Open Mic - Every Monday, "the stage is yours"! Come and have a go, sing, play whatever. The house PA and guitar are at your disposal! Contact Mick for more info on 0161 2736937.
• Computer Club - Come and immerse yourself in Console heaven. SNES, Megadrive, GameCube, PS, Saturn, Dreamcast and some platforms so old, you'll be amazed they still work. Held once a month, dates vary. Please check our news page or email for more information

Other events periodically staged include intuitive readings, exhibition darts matches, wine tasting and society get-togethers including the Open University and meetings of the North West Comic Creator's Forum to name but two.
